American girl Valeria, which since May 2009 serving in the Peace Corps and is located in a small village in Bulgaria, tells about the holiday Babin day. This is a celebration for everyone who became a grandmother in 2010. On this day all grandmothers and mothers of the village dressed in traditional costume, gathered in the center of the village and the whole day was taken in a circle around a central plaza. All behind the backpack was a child. Were pinned to a backpack knitted socks, apparently for good luck and good fortune.

Huh, well dance. Thank you, Valerie, for your blog BLOGodaria.

The next trip I make to the Chinese city of Chaozhou, accompanied by the Jack Lee from Hong Kong. Early cloudy morning swims we Shantou village and here we seem to be happy.

Sailing along the coast, you can see women who spend days clean oysters.

The whole coast is littered with oyster shells.

The locals are very poor. They have to get up at night to get a job - to clean the oysters.

During the day we arrived in Chaozhou.

Next, go to the eastern part of Guangdong Province to attend the annual festival of the "big race pigs. "

In this contest wins largest pig. This time, 480 candidates participated. The biggest pig weighing 600 kg.

For all those present - a festive feast.

Today I wandered around the city of San Miguel de Tucuman. Usually a city name is shortened to Tucuman. This capital of the province of Tucumán and the largest city of northern Argentina. The city was founded in 1565. In 1812, after defeating the troops of Manuel Belgrano in a battle near the city of Tucumán, the patroness of the city and the army was called the Virgin of La Merced. Beautiful blog with excellent photos. While viewing a blog you can listen to beautiful music group Los Tucu Tucu. Be sure to buy their CD. Photo of Tucumán:

Outside the window is winter, but I have eternal summer. I am in India. Travels from south to north. Author of the blog and my conductor Mee. The first stop of Madurai. Madurai is the oldest of those surviving to the present day city on the Indian subcontinent. This temple town, there are a lot of temples. The most famous of them Meenakshi. It is the abode of goddess Meenakshi (Parvati). Meenakshi also means the fish eye.

We drive further north and get into the town of Mahabalipuram. This city has emerged in the VII century BC as the main port of the Pallava kingdom. In this coastal city is always very hot and humid, and always a lot of people. Mahabalipuram is known, thanks to a gigantic rock temples and gigantic reliefs depicting scenes of penance of Arjuna and the descent of Ganga from the heavens.

And finally we got to the north of India. Haridwar - is one of the seven sacred cities of Hinduism, on the banks of the sacred river Ganges. The word "Hari" means God in Hindi and the word "Dvar" - gate. Haridwar - gateway to God.

Mee wrote that one of the most memorable impressions of this city of the priests - it smells of various foods. "Heavenly food" is sold on every corner. This aloo poori and hot samosas-channa, aloo paranthas, kheer-maal pooa dipped in sugar syrup-look, not to stomach ache from such diversity.

Let me remind you that the author of this excellent blog about India is Mee. On the pages of her blog you will see lots of great photos and descriptions. Be sure to go to visit Mee Travelbytes.

And now all go skiing. Where? In the Alps. This time I skidded in Tirol, Austria. We see photos of Belgian skiers from Zugspitzeclub. We are in the ski area Grubigstein in Lermoos. Around - only fresh, frosty air, clean snow. Above us the winter sun. And everywhere there is visible is the highest mountain in Germany - the Zugspitze . I think so, be sure to visit these places.

Today I was stuck on the blog Maxmalnie. I never thought that graffiti such a beautiful art form. Well, you know, house walls, scribbled unintelligible words, crap bus stops, empty cans of beer - I had associations with the word graffiti. Now view graffiti as a phenomenon has changed. Perhaps this is all over. There are filthy invaders, soiling the walls of houses in deserted streets, and there are artists working in this technique. Although, you never know with what these artists have started. Here are a couple of pictures from this blog:
